South American Charangos
Musical

Purchased in Ecuador

The Charango is an Ecuadorian folk instrument that evolved from the 16th century Spanish vihuela de mano. It is smaller than a guitar but has 10 strings seperated into 5 courses. An armadillo shell is used for its soundbox. This pair of exceptional sounding instruments are made of South American hardwoods.

A relative of the guitar and ukulele, it can be played as a picking instrument and have a charming harp-like quality. The charango can also be played very strong and rhythmically as a strumming instrument, for accompanying singing or other instruments. Each charango comes with a black soft case and shoulder strap.

If purchased in a pair, all shipping and insurance expenses will be incurred by seller.
